How To Move To A New Home With Your Pet Safely

Prior to moving to a new home, it’s important to ensure that all of your family members are as comfortable as possible – including your pets. This is because pets can often be extremely sensitive when it comes to moving, no matter how far away your new home is. Planning is extremely important, which means that you should make note of the following useful tips.

Regulations

Prior to your move, especially if you will be moving to an apartment or a new state, take the time to gather together all of the proper documentation that proves your pet has received all of the proper vaccinations and other types of inspections. Here are some other guidelines to make note of:

*Rules Per State: Every state has different rules and regulations when it comes to pet owners. Consider contacting a vet office for more information.

*Local Ordinances: If you will be moving to a new city, be sure to contact the City Clerk’s office for information regarding local ordinances involving pets. These ordinances may involve leash laws, pets per household, zoning laws, and more.

*Condos/Apartments: If you will be moving to either of these communities, chances are there will be rules regarding what types of pets you are allowed to have, if you are even allowed to have any at all. Be sure to take the time to read these regulations, especially if there will be any extra fees involved with having a pet.

*Health Certificates: Oftentimes, many states will require that you have some kind of a health certificate for dogs and/or cats, as well as other types of pets.

*Tags For Rabies: A majority of states require pet owners to have rabies tags for dogs, cats, and some types of exotic animals.

*Pet Permits: If you own an exotic pet and will be moving to a new state, there is the chance that you may have to purchase a permit before you will be allowed to bring it with you. Contact a local vet office for more information.

How Can My Pets Remain Safe During the Moving Process?

*Identification Tags: Place a collar on your pet that has one of these tags attached to it, provided your pet is able to wear a collar. This tag should include the name of your pet, as well as your address and phone number.

*Microchip: This is a useful way to help identify your pet, as doing this will place them into a recovery system in the event that they get loose. Once your pet is found, you will then be contacted. A pet that has been purchased from a location such as a breeder, pet store, etc. already is likely microchipped.

*Photograph: This is extremely useful to have on you at all times, as you can show this to all of your neighbors in the event that your pet somehow gets lost.

*Collars/Leashes: A collar is especially useful during travel either in a car or on an airplane. Additionally, a leash is also useful, especially if you are waiting for a new fence to be built and you need a way to keep your dog in your yard.

*Pet Carrier: If you plan to travel by airplane, your pet will be required to be placed in a carrier while in the cabin. If you will be traveling by car, pets who are in a carrier are often less stressed than they would be if they were outside of one.

*Official Records: This is perhaps the best way to ensure that your pet gets all of the proper care that they need. These records can be obtained by visiting your local vet office.

As an Austin moving company we understand how important the safety and transport of pets are to their owners. Often times it is overlooked as one of the most important parts of a move. Feel free to give us a call if you have any more questions on this topic.

Chargers Moving Company: San Diego to Austin

Moving companies in Austin have their work cut out for them but they might have not faced a problem that San Diego movers are facing. Approximately 24 professional moving companies located in San Diego Diego, California have gone on record of stating that they are now refusing to assist the now-Los Angeles Chargers move to L.A. They state that this is being done out of protest due to the team moving cities in the first place.

According to the website WeWontMoveYouChargers.com, which contains a list of all of the local moving companies who say that they will not help the team with their relocation to Los Angeles, all 24 companies have, thus far, made a unanimous pledge to not assist the team in any possible fashion. The website also offers explains why they refuse to do so, stating that their loyalties to the city are deep and that they know the Chargers belong there rather than in Los Angeles.

Ryan Charles, the head of sales and marketing for HireAHelper, is responsible for coming up with this unique protest. HireAHelper is a moving company that was originally founded in San Diego. He also stated that an agreement was made between his organization and others that, even if they were asked to provide assistance, they would not help the Chargers relocate. They then made a few phone calls and found other moving companies in the area who said that they would rather turn down money than see the team leave in one of their company’s moving trucks.

It was announced back in January that the National Football League had approved the Chargers’ request to move to Los Angeles after spending 56 years in their home city. This will not be L.A.’s second NFL team, as they also have the Los Angeles Rams. Naturally, this did not go over very well at all with fans, who took to mocking the team’s new logo, vandalizing the team offices with eggs, and even burning team jerseys in protest.

Five Ways You Can Save On Your Taxes In 2017

A tax deduction possible with a moving or relocation company in austin! We’re here to help!

Regardless of how much money you may have coming in, taxes are something that can be a real burden at times. If you’re someone who’s trying to find a way to lower your taxes this year, there are a few different methods that you can make note of in order to help make that very thing happen.

Make a Contribution to a Retirement Plan

Take a moment to think about being able to not include approximately $18,000 of your own money on your taxes. You can max out your 401(k) and be able to do that very thing. Currently, workers under the age of 50 are allowed to put up to $18,000 of pre-tax money into a 401(k). On the other hand, workers over the age of 50 can do the same thing with $24,000. If you don’t have access to a 401(k), however, you can instead fund an IRA, but you’ll obtain a much smaller benefit. For instance, workers under the age of 50 can contribute $5,500, while workers over the age of 50 can contribute $6,500. The more money you put in, the more of a tax break you’ll be able to get.

Use Pre-Tax Money to Pay for Healthcare and Commuting Costs

These are expenses that are certainly unavoidable for a lot of us; however, if you use pre-tax money to pay for these, you will be able to take advantage of some great tax savings at the same time. Those who are currently working can contribute up to $2,600 per year to an FSA; however, be careful not to overfund it. This is because once that money gets there, you will need to either use it or forfeit your entire balance. Additionally, if you register for commuter benefits through your employer, you will be able to use up to $255 pre-tax dollars every month to help pay for transit expenses, as well as that same amount to help pay for parking. You can also choose to double-up on these benefits as well if you wish to do so.

Obtain a Break for Child Care

On average, a typical family spends over $10,000 every year on daycare for their children for a full-time basis. At the same time, a household that employs a full-time nanny generally spends nearly three times that amount. However, there are certain tax breaks that are available for individuals who pay for child care. For instance, if you register for a dependent care FSA, you will be able to save up to $5,000 per year in pre-tax dollars to help pay for costs associated with child care. Furthermore, if you meet eligibility requirements, you will be able to claim the Child and Dependent Care Credit, which will give you a dollar-for-dollar reduction of your overall tax liability. This credit will provide lower earners with up to $2,100 in tax benefits, with higher earners being provided up to $1,200.

Know Your Deductions

Owning a home is something that can be expensive; however, it can also save you thousands of dollars in terms of your tax bill. There are many homeowners who seem to benefit the most from the mortgage interest deduction. This is a deduction that enables you to write off the interest portion of all of your home loan payments; however, you cannot have borrowed more than $500,000 as a single filer or $1 million as a jointly-filing couple. Additionally, you can also deduct points on your mortgage and property taxes as well, as well as deducting your monthly premiums as long as you don’t earn too much money in the event that you find yourself paying PMI by not having put 20{c90871bae1ccbef2c97f03962533da1d1cdb56d95578a7d78109bc048c24bb44} down on your home.

Make Your Move

If you’ve thought about moving, this could be the year to do it. It could help to lower your tax bill, especially if you move in conjunction with obtaining a new job. If the total distance between your old home and your new home is approximately 50 miles more than your old commute, and if you also work at that job around 39 out of 52 weeks per year after your move, then you will be able to deduct any and all costs associated with the move itself.

Early Spring Predicted by Bee Cave Bob!

Bee Cave Texas is a great place to live and when you think moving company 78738, think about us ! The 78738 zip code is the home of Bee Cave Texas. Bee Cave as we know it today was first settled by a man named Dietrich Bohls looking to raise his family away from the hustle and bustle of Austin city life in the 1850’s. He settled on the beautiful Bee Cave area, a full day’s ride away from Austin on the upper Barton Creek. The family spent time farming and raising goats. This raises the question, why is it not called “Goat Caves” or Bohlsville, named after the Bohl familly?

Settling along the creek, Bohl noticed many huge bee hives in the banks of the creek. As more families moved to the area, it began to be known as the “Bee Caves Area,” and the post office build in 1870 officially coined the name. Don’t worry though, you won’t get stung! The bee population is not what it used to be. One wildlife population that hasn’t diminished however is the armadillo! This animal is even celebrated in Bee Cave, TX!

Since Texas has no groundhogs, Bee Cave celebrates Armadillo Day on February 2nd. The armadillo named “Bee Cave Bob” is the official weather forecaster in lieu of Punxsutawney Phil. Bob is even officiated by The Lone Star Weatherological Society. Bee Cave’s individuality doesn’t stop there. Bee Cave, Texas was decided by the Texas Legislature in 2007 to be the “West Pole of the Earth.”

This has no geographical significance, but was only created to “add to the greatness of Texas.” And if you’ve seen how big and beautiful the sky is over the rolling hills of Bee Cave, you sure know the greatness of our Lone Star State.

Bear Creek & Cedar Valley between Hays & Travis County

We are happy to be known as a moving company 78737. The zip code of 78737 is split between Hays county and Travis County. Some would say you get the best of both worlds living in this zip code, with the influence of Austin city life in Travis county, and the warmth of small town living of Hays County. On the East side of this zip code you have Bear Creek, a “village” that calls itself “the Best Little Town in Texas.” It was incorporated in 1997 to escape the high taxes and excessive regulations of Austin.

On the North side of this zip code, you have Cedar Valley, a traditional small Texas town. The first school was opened there in 1867 with a post office following suit in 1872. The post office was discontinued in 1957 with the mail being rerouted to Austin. To this day the population is around 100 people. To the west there is “Highpointe,” a master-planned community that claims to be “the backyard for Texans who like to have fun, enjoy nature, hang out, live and retire.” Other neighborhoods include Belterra, Oak Run, and Signal Hill.

Whether you want to live in a neighborhood, on a large property, or in a small close-knit community, the zip code of 78737 allows the convenience of being a short drive away from our state capital, along with the charm and security of small town life. Throw in the beautiful Texas sunset over the rolling hills or the many rivers and creeks that run through this area and it’s the perfect mix.
